Maple Syrup Fun at These Sugar Bushes Near Ottawa

Satisfy your sweet tooth and embrace Canadian spring with these sugar shacks near Ottawa. Whether you go with friends, on a date or a family outing, it’s an activity that is fun for all! From deep-fried pancakes to bonfire pits, there are plenty of unique things to enjoy at these sugar bushes near Ottawa. Here’s where to enjoy all things maple syrup: 

Wheelers Pancake House

Head to Wheelers Pancake House for a delicious maple meal in their grand dining room with huge windows and nestled in a 730 acres forest. After your meal, enjoy their trails and heritage museum at this sugar bush near Ottawa. They’re a Guinness World Record Holder for Largest Collection of Maple Syrup Artifacts.

Proulx Maple and Berry Farm

Head to Proulx Farm for their Maple Festival where you can enjoy maple taffy, fire Pit and s’mores, walking trails, guided tours on making maple syrup and more! Warm up by their bonfire and get one of their stores or hot dog kits to enjoy with it. 

Enjoy their maple menu in partnership with Meatings that includes classic pancakes, Meatings signature home fries and smoked pork beans. They also have a vegetarian menu available. They also have maple cotton candy, maple taffy and maple pie available. 

  • Hours: Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm (last seating for brunch 2pm)

Temples Sugar Bush

Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast at this sugar bush near Ottawa. You’ll love dining in their two hundred-seat timber frame building that’s surrounded by forest. Go for buttermilk pancakes or blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup drizzled on top. They also have gluten-free pancakes available. After your meal explore the trails and check out their shop full of maple products. Make sure to get their maple taffy, it’s the same one you can get at Winterlude.

Fulton’s Sugar Bush and Maple Shop

Fulton’s Sugar Bush and Maple Shop have a 400-acre family-run farm that has been around for over 170 years and 5 generations. There’s plenty of fun to enjoy onsite maple taffy, trails and more. Head here on a Saturday or Sunday and enjoy sleigh rides for $4. Their property is a beautiful and perfect spot for some maple syrup fun. 

Their restaurant has closed to expand their shop but you can get items like their maple curry, maple mustard, maple bbq sauce, infused maple syrup and more.

Sugar Bush at Parc Omega 

Not only can you immerse yourself into Canadian wildlife but they also have a sugar bush on site that you can add to your visit. 

Make it a staycation with an overnight stay at Parc Omega’s unique accommodation or this cozy and relaxing accommodation that’s also the world’s largest round cabin.

Stanley’s Olde Maple Farm

This is a sugar shack near Ottawa that I’m hoping to check out this year. Enjoy access to the farm, 2km of walking trails, farm shop, heritage sugar shack museum, bonfires and more! 

You’ll also be able to satisfy your sweet tooth with taffy on the snow, deep-fried pancakes, mini donuts, grilled cheese, soup, maple baked beans and more! 

  • Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm
  • Price: $8.50 per person, children under 2 free
  • Address: 2452 York’s Corners Rd, Edwards, ON
  • Distance: 27 minutes from downtown Ottawa

Domaine de L’Ange Gardien

Enjoy a wagon ride through the forest, snow tubing, and then a delicious maple meal. You’ll find lots of great items here from crepes, bacon sausages, pancakes, maple taffy and more.
