Worth the Drive: Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush

Fulton's Pancake House and Sugar Bush

I’m excited to announce a new series I’ve started called Worth the Drive with Jim Keay Ford. They’ve kindly let me drive their EcoSport around town making new destinations even more accessible! I’m looking forward to showing you cool finds around town that are worth a visit. First up, a Springtime must, Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush.

Why Visit?

A true Canadian experience, Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush is a great spot to enjoy all things maple syrup. Fulton’s is a 400-acre family run farm that has been around for over 170 years and 5 generations. Visitors from all over the world visit this Sugar Bush. Syrup season is upon us. Spring is the best season to visit any sugar shack around town. Whether you go with friends, a date or a family outing, it’s an activity that is fun for all! It’s a charming spot that you’ll love to explore and then warm up afterward with a delicious maple filled breakfast 🙂 Here’s everything to do there:

Learn About the History of Maple Syrup

Did you know it takes 40 parts sap to make 1 part maple syrup? Learn about this and other facts while you’re there. They have a barn that’s full of more facts and history. You’ll also be able to see a map of all the different countries people have visited from!

On the Weekends Take a Wagon Ride Through the Maple Trails

The wagon rides are available every weekend from 10am-2pm. You can also purchase maple taffy and maple cotton candy on the weekends. Yum!

Explore the Maple Trail

You can take a self-guided historical tour on their heritage maple path. Learn about the earlier production of maple syrup. On weekends and holidays, you’ll also find campfires you can enjoy.  If you’re visting with kids, there are lots of trail games along the way as well as play structures.

Enjoy a Delicious Maple-Filled Breakfast

Savour fluffy pancakes, gluten-free waffles, vegetarian maple baked beans, sausages or bacon, maple desserts & more —all with Fulton’s organic maple syrup.

Don’t Miss the Maple Shoppe

This is one gift shop you don’t want to miss. I loaded up on goodies to gift to my parents (and myself) after visiting. You’ll find some unique products like their maple curry, maple mustard or classics like maple bbq sauce! Their gift shop is also a great spot to pick up things to send to friends and family abroad!

Getting There

You can visit Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush until April 22nd on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm and weekends from 8 am to 3 pm. You’ll find them at 399 Sugar Bush Rd. The drive to Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush is just under an hour. If you have some extra time you can stop in Almonte nearby. The town of Pakenham itself has plenty of other attractions including the historic Pakenham Five SpanBridge.

I love driving in the Jim Keay Ford EcoSport. It’s a smooth ride and has 4 wheel drive. With Apple Carplay you can play your Spotify playlist, take calls or send a text message via voice command. The drive will go by in no time.

While you’re exploring, you can store your valuables in the trunks special compartment.

Beat the cold by finishing your pancakes and using the Ford Pass app to start the car! If you’re in the market for a new car, I can’t say enough good things about Jim Keay Ford. Their staff is so friendly and they’ll make sure you get a vehicle that’s perfect for you!
