Fairmont Montebello

You’re Staying in the World’s Largest Log Cabin

Fairmont Montebello has such a unique charm to it. You’ll know exactly what I mean as soon as you walk through the doors. The interior is so charming since you’re in a rustic log cabin. Walk around the hotel and you’ll learn some of its history and some famous people who have also enjoyed visits there.

Enjoy Delicious Food

Enjoy meals at Aux Chantignoles. Their talented chefs will whip up a delicious meal using fresh and seasonal ingredients. You can also order a bottle of wine from their exclusive cellar to go with your meal. You’ll love the atmosphere of this grand dining room in the log cabin.

Enjoy Winter Activities

Snowshoeing, curling, tubing, dog sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling and more. I got to try dog sledding for the first time while I was there and had a blast. The dogs are all so cute and couldn’t wait to go on their next run. What an amazing experiencing to be pulled on a dogsled through the trees as the snow came down. It was a magical moment. (side note: the dogs are treated extremely well. They have over 52 dogs that they rotate so that they don’t get tired. The dogs were also very eager to get out on their next run).

Relax and unwind

After a day of activities, warm up at the grand fire in the main room. Curl up by the couches and read, play a game or enjoy a drink. They also have a spa on location that overlooks the marina, river, and forest. Enjoy spa treatments while taking in the natural beauty of Montebello.
