Potter Settlement Artisan Winery

2 hours 18 minutes | Tweed, ON

This winery is more than an hour away but I had the opportunity to visit this winery near Ottawa last fall and was blown away by the grounds as well as the stories behind each wine. Each wine has been carefully thought out and there’s a variety available. You can tell the owner of Potter Settlement, Sandor, is very passionate about the history and process of wine, and takes pride in the creation and quality of all their bottles. If it’s still available, make sure to try their Triple Rare Chardonnay and ask about the story behind it. I don’t want to spoil it but it involves a shipwreck at the bottom of Lake Superior.

Tours are $5.00 per person and availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

I visited when I was in town for a festival. You can find more things to do in the area on this blog post
